Hello Bloggie world!
I’m currently in Medford, Oregon visiting/taking care of my 89-years-young grandmother. I have sporadic internet access and not a ton of time, so I’ll resume posting tomorrow or Thursday. I already have 83 postings to read in my Google Reader! Yikes! I’ll try to read them all, but commenting may be at an all time low for now 😦 Sorry. But y’all are amazing and I love you all.
Quick thoughts-
- I will post the recipe to Pork and Apple Pie– it’s a keeper, especially for the men in your lives.
- I find Perfect Foods bars in Whole Foods- they are refrigerated. When I get back to Cali-ali I’ll post more specifics on them and their stats.
- I had an amazing bowl of oats this morning at the buffet and my grandmother’s assisted living dining room: oats, cottage cheese, cinnamon, granola, grape nuts, drizzled with peanut butter and a side of egg whites. I ate 2 hours ago and I’m still SO FULL (usually unheard of). I wish I had a picture, but I’m not sure that would be cool- and I really want to be cool 😉
- Had Cabbage and Spatzel soup last night for dinner- was so good. There was a spice in there I just could NOT figure out. I am determined to figure it out.
- Worked out in the fitness center here last night at 9:30 pm. I never work out at night, but my boyfriend wanted to, and it was actually a great way to end the day. I think the trick is to have a buddy and a super convenient location, otherwise I would definitely talk myself out of it. I did a tough 40 minutes on the elliptical incline 9, level 12. My heart was pounding! The fitness center also has cool weight machines that are air compressed to determine how much weight you lift. So neat and scientifically advanced- hehehe.
Take care everyone!

Question: Do you work out at night ever? Does it keep you awake or help you sleep?
Daily Joy: Being able to hug my grandmother.
Hug Ba for me — from the crazy friend on the East Coast.
Here’s hoping all turns out well.

Hello! I’m a first time commenter! I work out at night 5-6 days a week, I get up at 5am so morning workouts are impossible and I prefer to shower at night before bed so in my attempt to only shower 1x/day I workout about an hour or two before.
